New owners will be welcoming guests at Castle Rock Hideaway on County Highway G, Mauston for this year’s season. Steve Barbera and Jodi Jensen were ready to retire and were hoping to find new owners that would love their resort as much as they do. Matthew Raw and Cindy Siefert-Raw have been looking at resorts and when their daughter-in-law showed them some pictures of Castle Rock Hideaway Cindy said, “I just knew this was the place. I was so excited. I wanted something with a north-woods feel and this place was just what I imagined.”

The Raw’s came to see the resort and instantly bonded with Steve and Jodi. Cindy said, “We had so much in common. We became friends and our friendship continues to grow.”

Castle Rock Hideaway has six cabins and six cottages to offer guests. Everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation is at your fingertips. Guests are encouraged to bring their own towels. Each cabin/cottage even has a Weber grill.

Castle Rock Lake is just 500 yards away for the water lovers. The resort has a bait shop on the premises and Matthew and Cindy plan to add more items for sale for guests to enjoy their stays.

Cindy said, “I have so many ideas. One of my favorites is to plan a Victorian Christmas. We are hoping to work with some other businesses to give our guests an old-fashioned Christmas experience.
