Dorothy M. Jensen 88, of Wonewoc
Dorothy M. Jensen 88, of Wonewoc, Wisconsin died Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Elroy, Wisconsin. She was born March 24, 1929, in Hillsboro, Wisconsin the daughter of Fred and Agnes Strudnichka Schnurr. She married Charles Jensen April 3, 1948, and he preceded her in death 1976.
Dorothy spent most of her life on the farm. She enjoyed the farm life and being a homemaker. Dorothy also cooked for many years at Grace Lutheran Church for the Meals-on-Wheels program. She loved spending time with her family even joining to play kickball. Dorothy also enjoyed fishing, playing cards, baseball and always had a table for putting puzzles together.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, son Ernie, brothers and sisters: Johnny, Robert, Fred, Charlie, Elizabeth, Edna, and Mildred.
She is survived by her companion of over 40 years Dale Berndt
One son: Roger (Cindy) Jensen
Six grandchildren: Jena (David) Blazewicz; Sheila (Larry) Raab; Rebecca Jensen; Angela (David) Hinze; Anthony Jensen; Andrea (Lucas) Stensven.
Five great grandchildren: Nicole (Zach), Dylan, Courtney, Casey, Danyelle
Two great great grandchildren: Kinsey and Kasyn
Two Brothers: Ronald (Pauline) Schnurr and Jim Schnurr
One sister: Lorraine Schurr
Numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 7, 2017, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hillsboro, Wisconsin, with Pastor Conrad Prell officiating. Burial will follow in Milliards Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday at the church from 2:00 P.M. till time of service.
